Round 1: DSA (Offline) – ~2 Hours The first round was conducted offline, with the interviewer sitting in front of the candidate. The candidate was asked to solve 3 Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) questions on pen and paper. The interviewer mainly evaluated: Problem-solving approach Time and space complexity analysis Code correctness Communication while explaining the solution The round lasted for around 2 hours.
Round 2: Technical Interview (Online via TPO) – ~1 to 1.5 Hours The second round was conducted online through the TPO, and the interviewer was an SDE-3. This was a deep technical discussion covering multiple CS subjects. Topics Asked Projects Detailed discussion about the candidate's projects. Project architecture and design decisions. High-Level Design (HLD) Questions on designing systems and explaining architecture. DBMS Core database concepts and queries. Operating Systems (OS) Fundamental OS concepts. Generative AI Mostly definition-based and basic conceptual questions. OOPs Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals. Basic Machine Learning Since the candidate had an ML internship, basic ML concepts and definitions were discussed.
Note: The interviewer customized the interview based on the candidate's background. For example, since the candidate mentioned not being comfortable with Computer Networks (CN), CN questions were skipped.
Overall, the interviewer went in-depth into each topic, and the discussion lasted for around 1 to 1.5 hours.
Round 3: HR Interview (Offline) The HR round was conducted offline. As soon as the candidate entered the room, the HR informed them that they had been selected, mentioning that their technical performance was very strong. After that, the HR asked a few standard HR questions, followed by a brief discussion before concluding the interview.
