The interview lasted approximately 60 minutes and was divided into two parts:
The interviewer initially asked me to introduce myself and then discussed the projects mentioned on my resume. This part of the interview lasted around 15 minutes.
I was asked two coding questions.
Question 1: Sieve of Eratosthenes
The interviewer asked me a question related to the Sieve of Eratosthenes. I initially approached it using brute force and then optimized my solution twice, explaining the time and space complexity of each approach.
The interviewer wanted me to implement the final optimization. They guided me through the process, and I tried for around five minutes but couldn't complete it. I communicated that I was unable to proceed further, after which the interviewer moved on to the next question.
Question 2: Calculate a Raised to the Power B
The second question involved calculating a^b. I first implemented a brute-force solution and then wrote an optimized approach. I was able to solve this question completely.
I appeared for the interview in the first slot and received confirmation of my selection by the end of the same day.
The interview took place in July 2025 during the summer internship hiring season.
